I’ve been enjoying my sprouts all week on top of salads of every kind. I’ve put them on sandwiches and even snuck them into my kids’ wraps in their school lunches! Sprouts are everywhere this week!
Today I started a new batch. This time we’re going with broccoli sprouts!
Luckily my handsome assistant was available to assist again.
This time the seed package said to soak the seeds for 2-6 hours before adding to the sprouter so we used the bottom reservoir tray of the sprouter to soak the seeds. We’re so smart!
Add the seeds.
Add the water. And wait.
Later today we’ll drain the seeds, transfer them into the top tray of the sprouter and delicious, healthy broccoli sprouts will be only days away!
I know you’re feeling jealous of all my sprouts and wish you had sprouts of your own.
No?
Really?
Well just humour me then.
The good folks at A. Vogel Canada don’t want you to be sproutless so they’ve given me a starter sprouting pack to give away to one of my lucky readers. The package contains a sprouting jar; a starter pack of seeds including mung beans, radish, alfalfa, and a “fitness mix” which is a blend of all different seeds; and a bunch of samples and coupons for other products from A. Vogel.
All you need to do to be eligible to win the package is visit my Facebook page and “like” it. Come back and tell me in the comments that you did that and you’re entered to win.
One winner will be drawn at random on the final day of the 10-Day Sprouting Challenge – June 30.
Enter now and soon you could be

Julie
Thanks Julie! The sprouting is so much fun with kids!
I liked your FB page 🙂 Sprouting sounds like so much fun! I know my family would just adore it 🙂 I love the idea of sneaking sprouts into food too, though I think after all the work making them, my kids would be excited about the idea of eating them!
It’s a lot of fun to do with the kids Janice!
liked your fb
Here’s hoping we can start sprouting with our grandson!
Boy do I need this I tried sprouting with coffee filters and it grew mold with the sprouts…..LOL! I sure hope I win & like your FB page!
Hahaha! That’s hilarious Wendy. Yes, I don’t think coffee filters would work well – they would retain too much moisture. Good luck!
Love sprouts, liked you on Facebook too.
Great post Sara! This looks like it would almost be too much fun! I liked your facebook page, and am hoping I can try it too! I love the idea of being able to grow my own food, but usually can’t because of the space it would take. Something like this that can be put on the counter would probably work really well for me and my suite!
I know exactly what you mean Janine! Growing my own food on my counter makes me ridiculously happy.
This is so cool! Thanks for the opportunity. I have likes your page and look forward to following you.
I liked your page ages ago 🙂 I can unlike it and like again. Hee hee

This looks very fun to do and fascinating to watch it grow a bit at a time.

I liked your page!!
I liked your facebook page (and I actually like it – it looks like a great resource for people). I really like sprouts but am too nervous to buy them already grown so I would love to try growing my own!
Thanks Diana! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the page and the blog. I know what you mean about being nervous about buying sprouts. I love them but I never buy them. This is a great way to have your sprouts in a safe and healthy way!
home made sprouts are so much different than the bought ones – NEVER use those.
I have liked your page as well.
Wow, I never thought to ‘sprout’ on my own…and it looks so easy!
